Dear 3A Parents:
My name is Fiona Lee, 3A teacher of Contra Costa Chinese School. I can’t wait to meet you all on the first day of school! (You can also call my Chinese name, Noya.)

Please kindly have students bring dry erase markers and wipers to our first class. They will need them to learn how to write Chinese characters. You don’t need to bring white board, writing clear sheets and paper will be provided. Please also have students bring a note book, sharpen pencils, and eraser.

Back to school parents’ orientation is 9/13 which is the 2nd day of our school. Please come to 3A classroom (LA117) after you finish meeting with the principle. I will only take few minutes to explain my lesson planning and goals for this school year. Just a reminder, it's the school policy that only students are allowed in the classroom during the school hours.

I understand it might be the only chance for some students to be able to listen and speak Chinese when they come to our classes. In order to improve their listening, I will speak 80% of Chinese and 20%  of English in class. I will make sure they understand every word that I say. To improve their specking ability, I encourage every student to call my voice mail every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday to leave a message in Chinese for anything they want to share with me. I will call them back if their pronunciation or grammar needed to be corrected.

I look forward to seeing you this Saturday!

Dear 3A parents and students,
I am Fiona Lee, you can calll me Fiona, but I prefer you call me "Li lao shi" or "Noya." ^_^

I got my master degree in New York majoring in TV and Radio Management and Programming. Before moving to the USA, I worked as a news anchor for more than 10 years in Taiwan. (the picture below is taken when I broadcast news in the TV news station studio.)

My 3 lovely children, age 11, 7, and 5, are going to Contra Consta Chinese School this year, too. Beside teaching at Contra Costa Chinese School, I am also a Mandarin sub teacher at Stanley Middle School. I also do private tutor lessons.

This is the blog for my 3A class. Notes and homework will be updated here every week. I wll take class pictures periodically and post them in blog photo album.

Please kindly have your children do their homework and call my voice mail every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday to leave a message.

It takes hard work to be good at everything. I will accompany my students along the way to make sure they really lean and have fun!

You can contact me though email, my voice mail, or just simply leave your message here.

I am thrilled to be here! Looking forward to a great year togather!
